Progress Reporting

The purpose of Progress Reports and Report Cards is to communicate what your child has learned during each quarter and where he/she is performing relative to a grade-level standard. We will implement a nine-week reporting schedule with Report Cards sent home each 9 weeks and Progress Reports sent home mid quarter. (See Hamilton County School Calendar for dates.)

Letter Grades (3rd – 5th Grade)

In grades 3– 5, numerical grades will be used to report student progress on progress reports and report cards.

Hamilton County Grading Scale:

A 93-100 S Satisfactory
B 85-92 N Needs Improvement
C 75-84 U Unsatisfactory
D 70-74
F 69 or below

Standards-Based Reporting (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade)

Student achievement will be reported using the following scale:

3 - Proficient Usually demonstrates mastery for this grading period

The scale/criteria above will be used for all grades to report progress for P.E. and Music.
